...Milinda Moragoda... stood for value based politics. His initiative to set up a new political party, inspired by the principles and values that were associated with the Ceylon National Congress of yesteryear, was considered most timely... Moragoda may not have succeeded to get elected but we are glad that he has decided to keep his Sri Lanka National Congress alive, and continue his campaign to establish a compassionate and just society, where human rights are respected and the Rule of Law obtains, and where every citizen would feel proud to call himself or herself a Sri Lankan.
