Tehran, May 28,2009: Head of Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mehdi Mostafavi here on Thursday underscored the need for strengthening cultural ties among people from all parts of the world, in particular between Iran and Sri Lanka.
He made these remarks at a meeting with Sri Lanka’s Tourism Minister, Milinda Moragoda, IRNA reported.
Referring to the existing cultural commonalities shared by the two countries, Mostafavi said there was potential in the cultures of both states that should pave the way for the further expansion of cultural ties.
Moragoda for his part said friendship and mutual respect would lead tot eh promotion of cultural cooperation among the two nations. |
