BENTOTA: A joint tourism promotion programme by a coordinated drive among the seven Provincial Councils is to be launched soon, said Minister of Tourism, Milinda Moragoda at a conference held at the Southern Province Chief Secretary’s Office last Sunday.
The Minister also said terrorism had caused problems to industry and short term and long term plans to develop the industry are necessary to revive it. Chief Minister Southern Province, Shan Wijayalal de Silva also the Minister of Tourism S.P. said a new Hotel School was built at Weligama and it would start training personnel very soon and we have a very big programme to develop tourism in Southern Province.
