Moragoda wants Speaker to expedite Opposition's no-faith motion against him

A group of Opposition parliamentarians yesterday gave notice to the Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara of a no-confidence motion in Parliament against the Minister of Tourism, Milinda Moragoda.

A press release issued by the Ministry yesterday stated that the Minister of Tourism, Milinda Moragoda was reported to have written to the Speaker requesting the latter to take up the no-confidence motion for debate in Parliament as soon as possible so that the Minister would be able to convince Parliament that he had not breached the trust placed in him.
