Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene Foundation that has rendered a yeomen service to the south launched its website recently with Minister of Tourism Milinda Moragoda as the chief guest. Distribution of books and school requisites to school children, construction of tsunami housing schemes, inauguration of small industries and self employment projects are among the services of the foundation established with the help of several local and foreign donors, Government Agent, Matara Gamini Jayasekara, Additional GA (Mrs) Athukorala, Editor in Chief, Lankadeepa newspaper Siri Ranasinghe and several distinguished invitees attended the ceremony. |
