The target set for late June talks is being taken up at the current talks between the Government and the Norwegian peace delegation.

The first of these meetings was held on Saturday with Ministers G.L. Peiris and Milinda Moragoda. Further meetings are scheduled for the next two days.

The delegation comprises Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Vidar Helgesen, peace envoy Erik Solheim and a Norwegian Foreign Ministry official Ms. Tromsdal.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe currently on a European tour, meeting heads of governments, is expected to hold talks with Mr. Helgesen in Brussels when he stops over there on the way back to Oslo.
