Indian Defence Minister George Femandez who met visiting-Sri Lankan Minister of Economic Reforms Milinda Moragoda in New Delhi last afternoon has said that the security of India and Sri Lanka was one and had expressed concern to safeguard the security of the two countries.

Minister Moragoda who called on Femandez discussed issues relating to the impasse in peace process and matters concern-ing the security of the region.

Sources in New Delhi described the talks as being frank and cordial.

Minister Moragoda has conveyed the mes-sage of an invitation to Femandez to visit Colombo extended by Defence Minister Tilak Marapona to which Femandez had responded favourably stating he would visit Colombo in the near future.

Associated at the talks was the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in New Delhi, Mangala Moonesinghe. National Security Advisor to the Indian government Biresh Mishra and the Indian Foreign Secretary also called on Minister Moragoda
