The LTTE’s Chief Negotiator Anton Balasingham is to have crucial talks with government leaders before the next session of peace talks in Japan next month, an LTTE source said.
He said Minister and government negotiator Milinda Moragoda was expected to meet Mr.Balasingham in Kilinochchi to discuss recent developments including ceasefire violations which were causing international concern.
The source said the intransigence of some LTTE cadres in persisting with some ceasefire violations was causing concern to the LTTE leadership and Mr. Balasinghan had to face tough questioning from the international community and the media.
Mr.Balasingham who is scheduled to arrive here on Friday will have consultations with LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. |
